Illustrator Paper Tomie dePaola is a very popular children’s book author that writes and illustrates his own books. Although dePaola has dozens of books written and illustrated by him, many of his books’ illustrations are similar. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to ask myself, “Why is that there?” or “why did he do that?” I enjoyed dePaola’s illustration style in these 3 books and believe that if I picked up another book illustrated by him, I would be able to tell it was by him by the style since many of his books are all very similar.
