This essay is to consider the achievements and reforms of Alexander II in the view of being a revolutionary liberator.
You can't really help thinking whether Alexander II's motives were entirely unselfish.

…showed last 75 words of 553 total…difficult. It also says a lot that after his idea first was turned down, he still brought it up later. He also showed signs of being able to let go of some of the power by ordering the Mir to handle the redemption payments, so who knows what could have happened if he hadn't been assassinated. I think that he wasn't a real Tsar Liberator, but he could easily have become one in the future.
