The young men in Germany had the option of becoming a part of Hitler Jugend (Hitler Youth), and the young girls had the option of joining Bund Deutscher Madel (League of German Girls). Hitler’s new method of teaching excited the students because they got to learn about their heritage and “play” in physical education for most of their day as opposed to arithmetic and religion studies. Basically, Hitler took advantage of the innocence of youth and manipulated it for his benefit.
