Even if one ancient historian, such as Cassius Dio, records a fact or covers a topic no other ancient historian has, it is taken by modern historians to be accurate truth--unless it conflicts with another account written by another historian. The historical problems I’ve related here seem relatively insignificant to the average university student of Roman history.
