I still remember as if it were yesterday. I had just moved to a new house in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I was no longer living on a dirt road, but rather a paved one. …showed last 75 words of 743 total…I mumbled. "It's all in a days work my new friend." When I looked up, I noticed small tears manifesting in his eyes. As I walked away, the policeman kneeled down and wept beside his fallen comrade. Sadness overcame me.
From that day on, Intrepid was my protector. A great sense of security surrounded me. No one would ever harm me, and Intrepid would never leave me. He was my friend, companion, and my hero.
