A society where women are presented as objects will end up treating them like objects. Susan Jacoby has definitive ideas regarding the treatment of women. She makes a valid point. Women are presented like objects in present day society. In turn, women are treated like objects. If society stopped presenting women as objects maybe eventually they wouldn’t be considered to be them.
