But still even adult novels have pictures that are gory in nature but curiously most are comic in a sense that they refer to the holiday thus trivializing the story at hand. Sadly, many traditions are not practiced any more because of the weariness of the parents, safety wise. Children have lost one of those first steps in independence and freedom by being restricted by rules the adults have placed on them.
