The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s biggest coral reefs in the world. It’s so huge, at 2,000 km (1,200 miles) long, that it can be seen from the Moon! Its taken 18 million years for the Great Barrier Reef to get to the size it is today. The Reef consists of 2,900 (geocities.com) separate reefs it also has an area of around 344,000 km². North Queensland is known for its natural beauty.

Hopefully the society will realise what damage they are doing, and in doing so, just maybe they will understand how important the Great Barrier Reef is, and if kept treated in this condition, it won’t be around for anyone to enjoy.
