Thomas Friedman is exactly right. Several changes after the Cold War have made globalization possible. Those changes ARE globalization. If people can't be tuned into what's going on around the world, they can hardly be a part of it. Globalization is crucial for social and economic growth in what has become current and future 'world society.'
