The afternoon of July 2, 1863 was one of the most important, yet confusing fights of the Civil War. The day was one of controversy as shots rang throughout the small town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Because of Tilton and Barnes’s decision, the whole federal line, although they were retreating in good order, was on the verge of collapse.
As you see, the Wheatfield battle was very important to Gettysburg. Even within war its apparent that we still come across controversy, lying, and iniquitous people.
