Zealand sounded like paradise. Especially since the government paid it that way and charged next to nothing for a ticket on board one of the emigration ships because they wanted to get the trouble making working class out of the cities so it wouldn’t be over populated and not nearly as many were starving not to mention they wanted settlers in New Zealand for their own profit and anther addition to the European dynasty.
