In society, males are portrayed as dominant and women are the nurturers. Men are usually the breadwinner who goes to work all day to bring the money home to the wife and children. But why is it that the man is usually the provider and the woman is the housewife. In this essay, I will explain why gender roles are set in the fashion that they are and what influence society has on that.
