I have read two books, "Forever Free," by Joe Haldeman and "Speaker For the Dead," by Orson Scott Card. These two books, while differing in many ways have similar aspects of the plot. The writers with similar spontaneous writing styles depict life in the future in similar ways. Both books illustrate life on obscure, newly settled planets. On planets like this, in both books, compared to earth and older civilizations, is kind of third-world.

…showed last 75 words of 803 total…mankind things are drastically different than they are now however only small things are different. There are still families with parents caring for their children, people don't kill each other without suffering consequences, there is still the same type of money system. In both books people as well as making huge advancements in science and technology have developed faster than light speed travel and have settled many planets. Because of the high-speed space travel available.
