One White Carneau pigeon were kept at its 80% ad lib weight. Both grain and water were made available to the pigeon in its homecage. The pigeon was about six years of age. The pigeon had no experience with the experimental produre.

The one of the four schedules were assigned to the four pigeons. The schedule were ran four times. The first three trails ran as training session to provide for accurate result during the testing session. During the testing trail the schedule included an extended extinction period.
