I feel excessive pride in being a citizen of the United States is extremely prevalent amongst the majority of the population. After doing the necessary research and insite to write this paper I must admit my standpoint has changed. A state of enlightenment has swept over me. I believe now that our nation today is a strong one and has developed well with the change of time. Reparations have been paid and now we are all equal regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. I too, am proud to be an American!
