As a student of art history, going to a museum is the only way to fully experience a work of art. El Greco's paintings cannot fall under one particular category (i.e. Renaissance work, mannerism, Baroque). Moreover, his art embodies the end of an age of time when a new era was beginning (16th century art during the Age of Reformation ------►17th Century Baroque Art).
