The drama in the pub
In this assignment I am going to dramaturgicaly analyze the interaction in a random
seller – buyer scene in a pub. To do this I will first have to explain the term of
dramaturgical perspective and then use it to analyze the scene. By the end of my work I
will have analyzed the interaction using the dramaturgical perspective.

to reach their goals in interpersonal communications. Motions are behaviors that are non-purposeful and
non-meaningful. In the bar scene I tried to show that the whole ‘play’ is set up with interrelated processes and meanings for one common aim: “…acquiring support for ones idealized conceptions of oneself.”(McCall&Simmons)
In conclusion I can say that both did quite well on stage performing their roles in the drama in the pub considering the dramaturgical perspective.
