Letter from Birmingham Jail
Dr. Martin Luther King wrote this letter in response to a public statement from the Alabama Clergymen. He later collaborated with Martin Luther King and the SCLC where he rose to executive- vice president in 1968. He went on to become the first black congressman, an ambassador for the United Nations and even ran for president. Andrew Young is a true landmark for success of a Black political leader in the 29th century.
