Willy had great goals (ideals) in practice, but the only thing that he didn’t realize is that if he didn’t achieve those goals it wouldn’t be the end of the world. Willy took it a step to far though, he thought that his life wasn’t worth living anymore, therefore Willy Loman was definitely destroyed by his own ideals.
