Death of a Salesman and The Crucible have both similarities and differences in their plots. didn’t like, and got away with it! People were hung with no substantial proof at all that they loved and served the devil! That conflict obviously goes beyond just Proctor’s inner feelings. I think the theme of The Crucible is the danger of mass hysteria and delusion. In such an atmosphere truth is often hard to come by. In conclusion, they are both quite similar underneath the surface of the plots and settings.
