Different Yet Alike
Different. Different were the two characters, Biff and Bernard, in Arthur Miller’s, The American Dream. Each person grew up in a different environment and ended up with completely different life styles. But at the end both knew that they had to work hard to get what they wanted, and nothing is handed to you because you are well liked.

Bernard went off too school and eventually became a lawyer. He married and had a child. As a child and an adult he was taught to keep his business to himself and not brag, unlike Biff.
Both characters in this play were very important. Even though they were completely opposite, grew up in different homes, they both ended up knowing the true meaning of life; work hard, and nobody is better then anybody else.
