David Crockett was born in Green County, Tennessee near the mouth of Limestone Creek on the Nolichucky River (Hause, Early Life page). John and Rebecca Crockett’s son was born on August seventeenth 1786. David’s grandparents were killed by the Creek and Chickamuga Indians before he was born.
