Technology has changed our everyday lives and will continue to change them even further. In the novel, Neuromancer, William Gibson, explores some of the dangerous implications of human acts of creation and argues the crucial issues concerning technologies in relation to human life. Two such technologies, discussed in Neuromancer, are Cyberspace and Artificial Intelligence (A.I.). Cyberspace is a colourful, lively and physical, yet intangible, environment that is fed directly into the neural brain process.

Intelligence. But we should ask logical questions like is whether science and technology are really going to improve the world, will new technologies really improve human communication, or inadvertently make it more difficult? Will our lives be better? Hopefully, through ethical treatment of humans, machines, and information, that a mutually positive human-machine union within our global society can be achieved and our children won’t have to experience something as dreadful as in The Terminator.
