I thought of my father when I read the essay White Tigers in Across Culture. Though Maxine and I are both girl, we were both treated differently by a parent in the Asian culture. …showed last 75 words of 431 total…mother neither “sent her picture to her Grandmother”(21) nor carried Maxine ’s picture in her wallet as a typical mother, not because there was anything wrong with her, but because she was a girl. Although generally believed in most Asia country, female is discriminated against, I found it is untrue in my case. And I wish that Maxine could be one of my sister so that she would be loved and treated equally like me.
