The novel "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee is one which deals with important human issues. It is about the demise of a white lawyer's defence of a black man in a town steeped in prejudice, violence and hypocrisy, which resulted in the black man's struggle for justice. Harper Lee teaches us that prejudice can be shown in many ways. The technique used to view matters from the characters' perspective was very effective. This could also reveal to the reader whether it is pure prejudice from instinct of from strong rumours.
