…showed last 75 words of 260 total…It is very hard for Celie, Nettie and Shug to get respect much less lead happy lives.
Although Celie led a horrible life she was able to live it day to day, and not dwell on the cards that life had given her in the past. She is over all a very pleasant women throughout the whole book, only letting jealously take over once or twice through the book.
