CHINK?
Anyone who tells you racism doesn’t exist in the U.S. is either blind or doesn’t want to acknowledge it. I’m living proof that racism indeed exists. I’ve been a victim of it many times. People have spat on me and screamed racial slurs such as “Chink.” But what is a Chink?

…showed last 75 words of 570 total…been called many names besides Chink: Chinaman, yip, Jap Chinky, devil- every slur you’ve heard that is too commonly put to Asian persons. However, it is still being used today. For example, recently John McKain uttered the term “Gook” as a derogatory for the Korean people. I absolutely hate being called that—I am NOT a CHINK and never will become one! We are known as ASIANS, not ORIENTALS, not CHINK, and so on.
