We measured the mass by using the balance, and found the volume by sliding the solid in the graduated cylinder at a forty-five degree angle so it wouldn’t splash everywhere and then we subtracted the volume of the water. We then found the mass of the water and unknown liquid by weighing it on the balance and subtracting the mass of the beaker and the volume by the scale on the graduated cylinder.
