the real mystery to the story is revealed and that we get a real indication of what Verbal/Keyser experienced from his point of view, though we can still not be sure of how much of the information he has told is true. It is this that once again emphasises the manipulative power he has on not only the spatial structure within the film, but on us, the audience outside the realms of the narrative.
