Can Winning the Presidential Debates Affect the Election Outcome?
<Tab/>In the first presidential debate, which took place on October 1st, 2004, according to the majority of reporters and "undecided voters" John Kerry was deemed the winner. However a fair amount of articles and a large amount of "undecided" voters said that George Bush won the debate, who really won and what affect could this have on the polls.

…showed last 75 words of 891 total…to let the American public know what his future plans were, and why he made the decisions he did. Bush also made a mistake in not admitting that he was wrong for attacking Iraq on gounds that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. A combination of Bush's failure to disclose his plans, not admitting he made a mistake and his physical weaknesses were all reasons I feel George W. Bush lost the 1st presidential debate.
