Binge Eating Disorder
Binge eating is probably the most common of the eating disorders and affects about 2% of adults in the United States. Binge eaters also tend to be older than those with anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa and nearly half of all binge eaters are men. Most people with binge eating disorders are obese, which is defined as being 20% or more above a person¡¦s normal body weight.

People who are binge eat are usually over-nutritioned which contributes to obesity. However, it is just as important for a person suffering from a binge eating disorder to regulate their intake of food in regards to the quantity as well as focusing on maintaining a well balanced diet that meets their daily nutritional needs which aids in their physical and emotional health.
