Bernini and Michelangelo were two artists that sculpted versions of David. Several differences spring to mind when comparing Bernini’s sculpture of David with Michelangelo’s. Michelangelo’s David has a noble and respectable quality about him. In saying this it is my belief that discussing the differences in this paper has actually given me a better understanding and appreciation for what both artists accomplished when they sculpted their own versions of the remarkable man known as David.
