Beowulf: A Moral Man Amongst Men
Morality, a standard of right behavior, was one of the most important characteristics during the Anglo-Saxon era. The story Beowulf depicted many virtues of the times. Beowulf holds his morals and virtues above all else, from the way he fought in battle until the day he died.

Beowulf was one of the most noble and moral epic heroes. Respect for his morals and virtues led his people to erect a lighthouse filled with gold and riches he acquired for them. Along with the lighthouse, his people prepared a funeral with “the greatest of funeral fires”(1861) to show love for their late king. This honorable funeral justifies the way Beowulf lived his life.
