"The Bamboo Flute" by Gary Disher is a novel about a boy named Paul in the 1930s, the life of a boy in the 1930s would be very different to the life of a boy in the 2000s. In conclusion, I have to say I have a less difficult life compared to Paul's life because we have more technology and the kids never get hit by the teacher anymore. Paul's life was difficult when he had to do a lot more physical work to be done by hand where as we have machines to do the job.
