Every year there is over 50 thousand car accidents in Poland. Almost 7 thousand people are killed and 67 thousand are seriously wounded yearly. Most of the victims were treated appropriate to the national standards, although serious deficiencies were found. The most evident were: lack of cervical spine immobilization, shock controlling procedures, usage of the Glasgow Coma Scale and the Revised Injury Scale. 4.
