Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in Kentucky. In 1818 he moved to Indiana. On November 4, 1842 Lincoln married Mary Todd. In 1832 Lincoln became a candidate for state legislature but he lost. Later that year he was appointed to postmaster of New Salem, then later became deputy county surveyor.
