In the book Arranged Marriages, Divakaruni shows that other cultures have glorified vision of America, instead of seeing the harsh reality and problems that do exist. Some are to high and only end with disappointment of the character. All of the ideas seem to make America out to be a great land where anything is possible. But I think that Divakaruni is trying to show that people have glorified ideas of the American culture.
