Aristotle Biography
Aristotle, the famous Greek philosopher, was born in 384 BCE in Stagira, in Thrace, at the northern end of the Aegean, near Macedonia.. His father, Nicomachus, was the personal physician to Amyntas II, king of Macedonia. In 367 BCE at the age of eighteen Aristotle was sent to Athens, Greece to attend Plato’s Academy. In one famous example, he gave a detailed description of a kind of dog-fish that wasn’t seen again until the nineteenth century.
So as you can see Arisotle has made many major contributions to the world of philosophy and science. Although his work with the elements was far from amazing his work with biology more than made up for it. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest philosophers of all time.
