An anti-Semitic political cartoon drawn by the English artist, Thomas Rowlandson (1756-1827) shows Solomon (of the Bible) “enjoying” himself with two pretty Christian girls. Finally, Jews were stereotyped with bad traits that were actually being carried out by the Nazi party. This act of labeling was a form of denial portrayed by those against the Jews. By creating a general sense of “otherness” between the Jews and the remainder of society, the brutal murder of the Jewish race was justified.
