DBQ– The American Revolution

towards the American’s freedom and separation from Britain. Through the declaration, the colonists basically state that they want nothing more to do with Britain and Parliament. The next hurdle would be to defeat them in the upcoming American Revolutionary War that would ultimately break the ties with America and the British Parliament forever. Just as stated several years before in 1737 by Thomas Paine, “Everything that is right or natural pleads for separation” (“Common Sense”).
