Through the whole book Alice has been trying to, although subtly, conquer Wonderland. In the end of the book she is realizing that her conquest is not going to be successful and this angers her. Since she is only seven years old she is unable to handle this loss and lets her rage overcome her sensibility. She begins to throw a temper tantrum and ‘destroys’ Wonderland; this is Alice’s tragic loss.
