Throughout the history, man had worshiped heroes, just like the way they worshiped god(s). People deified the heroes, making them the models of the society.
In dictionaries, a hero is defined as "a person distinguished by extraordinary courage and noble qualities". This story suggests that human are just like animals, heir emotions and morality will always be taken over by the most basic animal instincts - selfishness. We cannot deny it, for that is our nature, deeply and securely planted in our genes.
