Nick’s lack of interest, although it may seem insignificant, destroyed their whole relationship. The end of this something ended first with his lack of interest in others. …showed last 75 words of 319 total…externally. Marjorie doesn’t seem like she deserves Nick’s treatment. Marjorie has been very loving to Nick and seems very happy with him. On page 32 it says, Marjorie loved to fish with Nick. She also senses that there is something wrong with Nick. On page 33 she question Nick and asks, “What’s the matter.” Therefore, Marjorie hasn’t merited this cruel treatment from Nick and hasn’t done anything to contribute to this behavior.
