Although both these teams have their problems and often let issues get in the way of solving their cases, they still manage to work together in order to solve heinous crimes. Cornwell and George have truly proved themselves as effective contemporary detective fiction novelists through these works. The novels are extremely well-written and designed to balance social issues with crime in order to make a point and establish believability.
