Mirror
When I read mirror I understood what the author Sylvia Plath was trying to say. Sylvia
Plath was an unhappy poet who often wrote poems that showed the negative view of life. In the
end she ended up killing herself by placing her head inside an oven while it was on.
In the first stanza she says the mirror gives off a perfect reflection ‘I am silver and exact’.

see it as a wonderful
experience. I believe that Sylvia was special and that is why she was able to write such amazing
poems. In all of the poems that I have read she has intrigued me, and made me look deeper than the
surface of the poem to see a whole different meaning. I don’t think she was negative but she just had
looked at life from a different perspective than most people.
