William Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily” was originally published in Forum. It is first short story published in a major magazine. The narrator is unnamed and tells the story in first person plural. …showed last 75 words of 1239 total…because I had the same views as most. I do believe this is a retrospective Gothic story. What most changed my thoughts from my original interpretation were the three essays I selected. Reading the essays where more helpful for me because they gave me a type of guideline to follow.
